Why I am Running for Commissioner of Miami Beach
It has always been important to me to be an active part of our vibrant city, to preserve and enhance our quality of life. That is why I got involved in Miami Beach government from the time I was thirty after being elected the youngest president of the Miami Beach Latin Chamber of Commerce. I was honored to serve as your Commissioner for a full term from 2009-2013 and serving a partial term 2006-2007. Once again, I am running because I am confident that my unique combination of experience, solutions, and accomplishments, and will serve our city well.
My pledge has always been to you is to serve efficiently and with integrity and advocate what is in the best interests of our residents.
After leaving the Commission, I immersed myself in my law practice that helps homeowner and condominium association residents.
Since the time I left the Commission, I made it a point to remain connected to my friends and neighbors. In 2016, I was honored to be President of the Miami Beach Bar Association.
I feel a strong sense of responsibility, to give back to our community and contribute to our futures. It is a critical moment in Miami Beach. We need a team of qualified leaders to start working on the main issues from day one.
My focus will be on innovative solutions to six key issues to enhance our eroding quality of life:
- Reduce Traffic and Better Manage Road Construction Projects
- Improve and Promote Transportation Solutions
- Stop Over-Development — Promote Responsible Development
- Ensure Financial Responsibility and Accountability
- Additional Solutions to Fix Flooding and Stop Sea Level Rise
- Advocate for Better Education and Programs for Seniors
It is an honor and privilege to serve on the Commission. I know I can make a positive impact on our community, my record speaks for itself. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. Together, I know we can craft real-world solutions.
Very truly yours,
Your Miami Beach Commissioner
